Community Engagement

Community Engagement

Gateway Community Care (GCC) is a Community Service Organisation providing services to address the needs of the disadvantaged and marginalised in Devonport, surrounding communities and around the globe. GCC endeavours to embrace these needs and bring solutions that provide a service to the community that makes a genuine difference to the lives of others.

The heart and culture of our organisation is to make a real difference in our community by being a positive influence wherever we are given the opportunity.

We partner in funding an income producing dairy and crop farm which employs people and benefits local communities. The goal is to be self-sustaining with any excess going to help others in the surrounding areas.

We also support a primary school on the farm site which helps educate poor children from a nearby marginalised village. The goal of the visionary principal is that every child will make a worthwhile contribution to their own community and beyond.

The world is full of injustice on many different levels and Jesus is the answer.

When we stand together, partnering with others, we can accomplish much more than if we stand alone. All the funds that go into Community Engagement go to help others as we partner with amazing people and organisations globally and locally to make a lasting difference in the lives of many people that would not otherwise be the case.

Join us in changing lives forever, by taking a giving tile from our Community Engagement board, giving a weekly amount or a lump sum payment. You may want to give your pledge through the offering during a service or by direct debit.
